Think it doesn't matter who you vote for? NH Democrats accomplished a lot in the last session.
- Increased the minimum wage for the first time in 10 years
- Expanded health insurance coverage – enabled all children under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ commercial health insurance
- Established smoke-free restaurants
- Protected part time workers by making them eligible for unemployment benefits when they lose their jobs
- Created secure funding for the Land and Community Heritage Program (LCHIP)
- Refused to participate in the Real ID national identification card program
- Protected borrowers by prohibiting pay-day loans with interest rates of 400% and more
- Supported business development with a Research and Development tax credit
- Gov Lynch and the Democrats cut back planned spending when revenues were less than expected and secured a balanced budget in 2008.
