Monday 1/26 Ray Buckley, Chair of the NH Democratic Committee attended the regular meeting of the Rockingham County Democrats.
Ray was accompanied by Mike Brunelle, Executive Director, and Ryan Mahoney, Field Director. Ray & Mike reported some of their personal experience of the Inauguration in Washington DC. However, the main topic of conversation, and reason for Ray's attendance, was to get some group feedback on this past election. Of course, this was a tremendously successful year for the Democratic Party, retaining legislative majorities, the Governor's office, 2 Congressional seats and taking a Senate seat. Not to mention successes in County and Executive Council races, nor the fact that statewide, Democratic voter registration exceeds Republican registrations. ( Not, yet in Candia, though ;) But the point of the feedback was to get some constructive ideas for a successful 2010 campaign. Yes, 2008 is barely over, but 2010 is just around the corner. It's important that we keep in touch and be thinking about how we are going to replace Judd Gregg, among others. The state committee is committed to working with us for a successful 2010. That was the message Ray delivered. Are you ready to hear it? |
